Adrianna Skori founded Kids Who Explore while hiking pregnant in the Canadian Rockies.
An avid hiker, she quickly discovered there was little accessible information on how to safely return to the trail with a baby or confidently explore outdoors with young children. The message she kept hearing was simple: adventure stops when baby arrives.
She was even told pregnant women did not belong on the trail.
That narrative did not sit right.
Kids Who Explore was created to change it.
What began as one mother’s refusal to step back from the outdoors became a global movement helping families confidently raise adventurous, resilient kids outside.
Founded in the Canadian Rockies, Kids Who Explore is now a social enterprise equipping families with the tools, knowledge, and community to explore together. Through expert led education, local parent led groups, global challenges, practical resources, and the Explorer Store, we make outdoor family life more accessible and achievable.
We believe nature is not an escape from parenting. It is a partner in it.
Across the globe, families gather under the Kids Who Explore banner to hike, camp, ski, and explore in ways that build courage, connection, and confidence.
Our mission is simple:
To support families in allowing nature to help raise their children.

Hi Explorers, welcome to Kids Who Explore! I’m Adrianna Skori, the Founder and CEO. I created a space for families to connect in the outdoors and inspire each other. You can connect with us virtually from anywhere in the world or come out and hike, camp, climb, and explore in the Canadian Rockies with us.
